The leather remains supple with a rich patina and beautiful natural grain. The soles, heels, and original metal spikes show light wear consistent with careful use. Overall these shoes have been exceptionally well preserved. ⸻ Personal Provenance These shoes come from the personal collection of my late grandfather, Jim Cassia — a decorated U.S. Marine veteran, longtime PGA Golf Professional, and 1973 New York State PGA Champion, who famously fired a 3-under-par 69 to win the state title. Throughout his career, he was known for taking exceptional care of his equipment, and these shoes reflect that same pride, craftsmanship, and respect for the game. I’m honored to help find them a new home with someone who appreciates classic golf history, quality, and the legacy behind them.
